How to Make Your Computer Smarter Than You

Expert Author Marc ZukeThere are but a few important aspects that if you took care well, will boost your computer's performance much better than the present. Though there isn't any single factor that actually affects your computer's performance. But, suppose you fine tune it from time to time, the PC is definitely going to work faster. Broadly speaking, there are two factors that mainly affect the speed of PC.
• Registry: Your computer has a good habit of remembering each and every action that was performed on it since you adopted it. But this activity actually interferes with speed of the system as each such entry on the hard disk consumes space. As you go ahead with creating files, installing programs, deleting files, uninstalling software and the list goes on and on spaces are formed that are left blank after deleting or uninstalling a program/file. All this clutter is not intelligently managed and leaves blank scattered spaces on the hard disk. Though the system tries to optimize these spaces, it sometimes is not able to. It will search and find the files that you are searching for but will take more time as they are scattered like the autumn leaves. This process is sure to put more stress on the hard disk and eventually increases wear and tear apart from being terribly slow. To overcome this problem, it's wise to install a "registry cleaner" and always clean your computer when you finish one session of work after say 8-10 hours of operation. This will ensure that hard disk is free and will not strain much in searching files.
• Malwares and Spyware: This is one major issue and the most popular one which affects the speed and performance of even the fastest computers with best brand chipset. When you access the internet you are sure to need some files or programs that you will download and install. At times the internet pushes some files as downloads into your computer without even your knowledge. You will be shocked that such a thing could happen. But, be informed that it's happening everyday and you won't know what hit you. Shocked! Don't be, it's all in the game. You love anything that's free. Right! Then malware is a bye product of free downloads. There's not much you can do about it.
Among all, the spyware poses the greatest threat to your system as they post cookies to spy on your internet habits and information about your computer. This is sufficient to invade your privacy and expose you to the internet thieves. Everyone downloads freeware or open source software at one time or the other. It may be a free anti-virus program or registry cleaner software. Try using a foolproof anti-virus program and it will take care.
